I can't open a labret
For labret jewelry, you need to know which kind of locking mechanism your piece has.
We supply the following different kinds:
- Push-in with PTFE base
- Push-in with metal base
- Externally threaded
- Internally threaded
Push-in items you simply pull apart. Grab the top ball and pull it straight out of the labret post. It is that simple! Note that some balls/beads are very small and can be hard to grab hold of. But use your fingernails and just pull it straight out. Be careful to do it straight or you might risk bending or destroying the tiny pin on the bead, or the labret post itself.
Threaded jewel is also quite simple. Just unscrew the top bead anti-clockwise with care. If it is too tight, do not try to force it. Try using rubber gloves. That will get you a much better grip and will solve 99% of all issues. Finally, you may also use pliers that are rubber coated to not scratch the item.
If the problem persists, please note that all balls and beads can come off. They are made individually and later assembled. So it is just a question of getting the right grip.
